"Lives of the Most Eminent Painters Sculptors and Architects, Vol. 04 (of 10)" by Giorgio Vasari is a series of artist biographies written in the 16th century. Considered the first important book on art history, Vasari's work chronicles the lives and achievements of Renaissance painters, sculptors, and architects through engaging biographical sketches. Written by a painter and architect himself, these volumes blend technical insights with colorful anecdotes, establishing the foundation for how we understand Italian Renaissance art and its masters.
